As one with decades of experience accumulating and later discarding things I didn’t really need, I’ve spent quite a bit of time curating the perfect Disney camper list. These run the gamut of budget friendly to a little indulgent, but I’ve avoided sheer extravagance (brand new Airstreams and Disney annual passes, for example). Please note that I am an Amazon affiliate, and will earn a small commission on any Amazon items that you purchase through these links. This helps to slightly tame the expense of maintaining this site.
Active Life LED Bike Fairy Lights with Batteries
When I was a kid, this would have been at the top of my list. I remember how proud of was of the little plastic ones with zero lights that turned into some sort of rainbow the faster I went. I’m loving the stylishness of these (lots of different colors), but really the practicality of the safety and visibility. Looping just got a whole lot brighter. Note that one set is for one wheel – I would want two sets in two different colors. [Affiliate link.]
I Hate People Tin Camper Mug
For your favorite introvert. Like me. So let’s break this down. I don’t really hate people, I just only like teeny, tiny groups of selected ones at a given time. On the other hand, I am cool with a menagerie of cats and kittens and dogs and puppies. Oh and I really, truly love children with all of my heart. Just not other people’s children. [Affiliate link.]
Wilderness Bay Moose Wine Holder
Also for your favorite introvert. Because a little wine can turn the mouse into a tiger. Doesn’t this look like it should be sitting in Wilderness Lodge? Obviously, this will work much better in a larger Class A motorhome than it would in space-challenged hybrid or pop-up. [Affiliate link.]
Fort Wilderness RV/SUV Tire Cover
I honestly don’t have one of these yet, and look forward to feeling like part of the in-group. It’s kind of cool that I don’t have to drive all the way to WDW to get one, but then it’s kind of sad, too. [Affiliate link.]
Retro Tiki Bar Outdoor Table Cloth
The good ‘ol Mickey theme is an easy, natural one for camping with a gaggle of children. As they grow up (and they usually do), I like to play with new themes, and Polynesian is one of my favorites. Mornings will be for Tonga Toast Muffins, and afternoons for Pina Coladas. [Affiliate link.]
Inflatable Tiki Cooler
So, this obviously goes right along with the tiki table cloth, and now you are moving into serious camper-envy territory. Tacky inflatables are all the rage at the Fort, and it’s a chance to escape from the real world and bring out our inner trailer trashiness. Grab some ice from the comfort station, and fill this with ice-cold colas, waters, and your favorite craft beer. [Affiliate link.]
Outdoor Tiki Torch Bluetooth Light-Up (LED) Speaker- with pole
This is one of my favorite items on the list, and I would like a pair. The tiki torches give off a faux flame while also serving as speakers for your classic Polynesian music. [Affiliate link.]
Chip & Dale Bento Box/Lunch Box
So I’ve got this obsession for Bento boxes. My most-loved is actually a stackable round one of four layers that came from Target more than a decade ago. This one is fab for organizing those mini-sandwiches, grapes, and other tasty tidbits that you are packing for a morning at the park or the pool.
Blackstone Tabletop Griddle
We have a giant version at home where my husband likes to show off his hibachi skills when friends come over for a swim. But I’d like to add this one for outdoor camping cooking. It seems like I set off the CO2 detector just about every time I start making a serious meal in the RV kitchen. You can even set this on top of the charcoal grill at the Fort. [Affiliate link.]
Disposable BBQ Grill Grate Covers
Yes, this is quite a practical and unexciting gift, but boy am I glad when we actually have them. I love charcoal grilling, but don’t like worrying about all the gunk that has accumulated on the grates. Plus, the grates are just too wide at the Fort. These come in packs of 12 or 24, and you just throw them on top. [Affiliate link.]
Disney Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary Slow Cooker
Other than making sandwiches and grilling, cooking in a crock pot is the main way that we prepare our camping food. I love to use mine for mac & cheese, pulled pork, stews, and Chasen’s Chili. Of course, when you are going to a potluck, there can never be too many Mickeys. [Affiliate link.]
Disney Mickey Mouse Waffle Maker
Nothing is better for breakfast on a Disney vacay than a Mickey waffle with loads of butter and syrup. Particularly if it is costing you only a teeny fraction of the restaurant price. You can use your homemade recipe, but my favorite easy mix by far is Jiffy Baking Mix (not the corn mix). [Affiliate link]
gofindit – Outdoor Nature Scavenger Hunt Card Game for Families
I’ve made a Fort Wilderness-specific scavenger hunt that you can download for free. But this one is impossibly cute. And giveable. And does the job of getting people outside. I’ve only been a little naughty this year, so I’m thinking Santa may leave it in my stocking. [Affiliate link.]
Mickey Mouse Fishing Bobber
Oh boy! When it’s time to go fishing at the Fort or on Bay Lake, you’re gonna need this lucky bobber. As Doug Larson once said, “If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there’d be a shortage of fishing poles.” [Affiliate link.]
Birnbaum’s 2020 Guide – Buy it for the Coupons!
Even with a plethora of available blog information, Birnbaum’s Guide to WDW is still a classic after several decades. There’s a fair amount of information about Fort Wilderness, but a comprehensive overview of everything else WDW (with an everything-is-perfect approach). More important, however, are the coupons. This includes several food coupons such as Earl of Sandwich (10%), Wolfgang Puck Expres (20%), free appetizer at Polite Pig, Joffrey’s (20%), plus some discounts on merchandise and excursions. Just-Released Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook
I have more than 200 cookbooks (several Disney), and can’t wait to add this one to my collection, and try out some of the outer-worldly ideas. After months of anticipation, this one finally got released, and appears to be one of the best among Disney cookbooks. [Affiliate link.]
Bambi Dog Bandana
Let Muggster, Tramp, or even Abby Jack Russell be the hit with the forest friends at the Fort with this stylish bandana. Comes in several other styles, including Lion King and Dumbo – but this one and the Jungle Book ones are the biggest show-stoppers, in my opinion. [Affiliate link.]
2019 Fort wilderness Disney Pin
This is one of the cutest Fort Wilderness pins in years, and I think it’s pretty cool that you can find it on Amazon. [Affiliate link.]
Resin Camping Mickey Ornament
No musket on this Fort Wilderness ornament, but the Davy Crockett hat brings that classic style for your little camping tree. [Affiliate link.]
Fort Wilderness Bellhop Plush Mickey
Even if you don’t have a young child or grandchild that will enjoy this, I’m thinking this Mickey will look pretty snazzy lounging on the RV sofa. Check out his Fort Wilderness bag. [Affiliate link.]
