After a pandemic hiatus, this holiday delight returns to Fort Wilderness for the month of December 2021. Sleigh rides at the campground meander through a unique wonderland of forests and decorated camping loops.
The horse-drawn carriages hold up to four people (or five if three are children) and are $75 plus tax. Your biggest challenge is getting the reservation. I would reserve sooner rather than later – call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. Lately, wait times for calling have been more than an hour.
You don’t have to be staying at the campground – guests will park at the Fort Wilderness Outpost and take the bus to the Settlement area of Fort Wilderness. This year, the sleigh rides will depart from the new Tri-Circle-D Barn.
Even without the snow, this is one of the most romantic half-hours you can spend in all of Disney World. Grab a quick drink at Crockett’s Tavern before your reservation time and make a fancy date night out of it.
